Chinese fort was built by fellow Kriegspieler, Rodger 'Smirnoff' Williams.  On the curvy roof bits he says...."Use cardboard tube and cut out sections (you'll need a big diameter).  Then glue the ordinary string on to form the tiles.  Light wash of PVA and paint"

Hope that helps

Well that does help simple and effective thanks  :)

The other way to make Chinese style roofs with with cordoroy or a similar type of fabric. Cut your section, dip in diluted PVA and glue on. Less work than string.

Who are the guys with the tripod mounted gun below the group shot of monks? They look superb

I think that is a Copplestone Tibetian gun crew.

Very nice work Howard. These buildings would work well with my Tibetan Jingal Gun set that was a limited edition way back with the subscription of the book from Foundry on "Small Wars and Skirmishers" by Edwin Hebert.

Yowee, the mud brick walls of that Chinese fort are the best I've ever seen !   I think I can even see the scale straw mixed with the mud used to make those bricks !

Very nice.
