Oh...my 1,000 point empire army arrived in the mail today...now I REALLY feel behind.  Need a week off from work to paint ;)

They look fantastic all laid out on the table like that - very well done. :D

I know what you mean about hills too, and managing their gradient and elevation is something that I struggle with at all scales.

Sigh...there is never enough time :)  I've been grabbing a moment here and there to paint when I'm not working at my real job, working for my better halves business, or doing summer chores.

Managed to finish another unit.  This is one of the two required goblin units.  I'm doing 3 bases of archers and 3 bases of spearmen (since goblins can shoot and fight).  I figure I can mix and match as I like or keep one type of soldiers together.

I didn't really like the standard bearer or musician model, and I'm using the leaders on my chariots...so there are no command figures for these units...I figured they didn't really need them anyway.

Once again, I don't think the picture does this unit justice.  On the table you can see the bows and different poses...but in the picture everything sort of blends.  Funny how sometimes the picture looks better and sometimes the actual miniatures look better.

I'm painting the other units of goblins before I allow myself something "fun".  Probably the giant.  Not sure if I should paint him as I would any other miniature...or if I should use the same "style" I'm using for the 10mm, so he blends seamlessly.

They look very nice, and progress is progress! ;)

For the giant, I think the main things that will blend him in are the colours and the base; otherwise I'd paint him however you feel most comfortable. :)

I love the work being shown here, well done all!

I had just decided I'd dip my toe into 10mm, for some Italian Wars historic plans and acquired a lot of Pendraken figures back in 2016 to start the project. Then a friend of mine announced he was offloading his 28mm Renaissance, and I've gone completely off-target.  :?

I really need to concentrate on the projects in hand, so would anyone be interested in my 10mm? I can provide a list of the pack numbers so folks can see what I acquired, and happy to sort out a friendly arrangement. I'd love to keep them, but I'd now plan on another 10mm genre/period for sometime in the future.

Great project you've got going on.  Miniatures are looking great and some awesome terrain to use.  The stuff that makes a project.

Drop me a PM with details - I always find it hard to resist more 10mm!!
