Away, green-eyed monster...  ::)

Suffice to say I'm deeply envious. Two questions:

1.) I often spot the Timpo Wild West buildings for sale on e-bay. Do you find them durable? I only ask because of my experience with many of the figures, which literally come apart when handled due to brittle plastic. As many of yours seem to be tossed in a box and are looking good, maybe the question answers itself!

2.) Do you play with your 54's much? A collection like that begs to be used!

Loving all the photos, so thanks for sharing.

A never had a problem with the buildings, except the price on evilbay. Most come with a bit of played with damage or bits missing, Tickling them back up is a lot of the fun. As to question two about playing with them, yes, lots. Both skirmish games with maybe half a dozen figures a side up to full scale campaigns agin the hostile Sioux and Cheyenne!

Well, I might have to get a few of those buildings at some point. Most of the ones I have are Starlux, I think: German wood buildings which are really quite nice.

Good to hear there are campaigns mounted against the assembled might of the Sioux and Cheyenne nations. On my table now are some Jean Hoefler Indians that I'm going to call Comanches. Great figures that simply ooze character. I like their cowboys as well.

One last question, what size table do you game on with the 54's? This is always a struggle for me. Fortunately it seems I have a rich uncle I never knew about in Africa - Nigeria, I think it is - who just needs me to wire him $1500 and I can start getting my inheritance, which sounds to be massive. So things are looking up!  :D

We use the big table in the basement, it's 8X6, when we deploy the big boy's toys.

My plans for the show circuit next year for my 54mm Western stuff involve a 12 x 6 table minimum!!! If I could get away with 12 x 8 I would (although my arms aren't quite long enough!!!! ;D) My fellow club-mates who make our modular terrain blocks don't yet know this though!!!!!!!  :o :o :o lol lol lol lol

That brings back memories, we had loads of the Timpo figures with wagons and buildings etc, and just started to collect Detail ACW figures when we emigrated and had to get rid of the lot. As 13 and 16 year olds my parents thought we had out grown them. One of my biggest regrets as far as toy soldiers go. :'(
