Sulphur - New Range from Alternative Armies
« on: May 18, 2017, 12:58:52 PM »
Hi all

Has anybody any more info or pictures regarding this?

https://www.alternative-armies.com/collections/sulphur-32mm-post-apoc-range

I came across it by accident while rummaging the AA site for old school fantasy figures.
Says they are due to release the first wave next week, with more staggered releases in future but I haven't seen any more details than are on the site or seen any pics of the actual models.

Edit:

Managed to find some pics of renders on Kickstarter:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1143143657/sulphur-incursion-32mm-tabletop-skirmish-game?ref=category_location

Anyone backed this???

Yep, I backed this. The figures are very nice. I'll see if I can get some pics and post them over the weekend.

It's not big, or clever, but let's do it anyway

If it isn't too much trouble could you do some comparison shots with better known ranges, please?

Those renders look great, were they ever available anywhere outside of the kickstarter? Never seen them.

As per my opening post, they will be available from Alternative Armies as of next week....

Clanmac, thanks for the offer I'd love to see some pics of the actual minis. They sound very cool but the info on AA and the Kickstarter page doesn't seem to cover everything they are hoping to release.

OK, photos below plus a comparison with Hasslefree and Copplestone.

As I said, they are really nice figures. A couple of the more active figures are a little two dimensional, but they are very crisp castings with great character and detail. The flamethrower in particular is brilliant.

As for height, they are very much 32mm not 28mm, but it's not a show-stopping difference.

These represent Splinter and Skinners packs plus another they did as a stretch goal - militia. Once I saw them I regretted not getting a couple of the other sets as add-ons, so I'm delighted they are making a comeback.

Cheers Clanmac.  :)

Those do look good, and they fit nicely with the Hasslefree and Copplestone figures shown.

Be interesting to see what the other releases n the schedule are.
