Reconquista; 'Arabised' Ghuzz Horse Archers
« on: April 23, 2020, 03:58:06 PM »
I've just finished basing these 'Arabised' Ghuzz horse Archers and it's been a while since I popped a post on the forum so here goes.

The mini's were speed painted, unnecessarily as it turns out with Partizan being rightly cancelled. It kind of took the wind out of my sails project wise but thankfully not for too long and I'm back to painting again.

More info and pics on my blog here:

Your horse archers look great. Good job.

The patterns that you added to their tunics really given them an Andalusian feel.

Love the decorations on the cloaks. Is there a secrete you wish to share with us?

What manufacturer are they.

Cheers
Erik

They're just dark triangles of colour (on the robes), usually contrasting with the robe, with a bright-ish highlight of the base colour added. I think the secret is to be very careful about the shape and placement of the dark triangles of colour and to keep them consistent around the fabric to give the sense of a pattern. I hope that makes sense?

What manufacturer are they.

They're Artizan Designs Erik, I've had them for well over a decade and they really needed to see some paint! :)
