Authentic Ghost Towns link

https://www.mnn.com/lifestyle/eco-tourism/stories/11-abandoned-old-west-boom-towns

Okay, one town only semi-authentic in the list but still a good place to start researching what boom towns of the old west were really like.  I'm off to do some Google map research.

Enjoy.

This past fall I visited several ghost towns close to me, some of which I haven't been to in twenty years. At least three didn't have a single building left. One where I can remember climbing to the second story of the motel thirty-five years ago had only a vague outline in the grass where the log foundation was. Soon pictures is all we will have.

I have a listing on my blog for Wild West Town inspiration. While these are not all ghost towns they are the locations where many a western was filmed.https://wargamesandrailroads.blogspot.com/

The listing is on the right hand column and you will have to scroll down to find it, there are twelve listings some better than others.

For real ghost town google Bodie CA
