Group shot! In the light (my lighting has not been great) you can see a lot of the flaws with the paint jobs and prep but overall I'm pretty happy with them. They definitely have a good group effect.

Some shots of the scenery I've been working on, with a little more detail in this blog post:

I checked out your blog -- great stuff! I did the same with some plastic palm trees, too. Drybrush the trunk and palms, base them, and they don't look bad en masse.

Keep up the good work!

yeah, love it.

great how you've made the ladders work with bases like that - very cool and practical idea.

and as Mike says - good on you re: the palm-tree titivation. I'm way too lazy for that.

Thanks, all! The project continues -- I have now finished off the treasure tokens, so we'll have something to fight over when we actually start playing this week. Nothing fancy about the paint jobs, but the detail on the figures really stands out even with a simple approach.

Played my first actual game. The light wasn't great, so I don't have a lot of good photos, but here's one I took this morning of a piece of scenery I'm pleased with. I was impressed by some scenery made from these Disney Atlantis toys at BOYL this year, so when I saw one at a charity shop for 10p I snapped it up. A little gap-filling and a quick paint job later, and here it is. I'm not happy with the sigil on the disc and I'm gonna redo it, but otherwise I'm pretty pleased.

The eyes shine when the light hits the head at the right angle.
