I have Late Romans of both manufacturers and when standing next to each other they size up well together.
No visible difference in height or thickness.

Many thanks. I've now seen that there's a comparison shot on the Age of Myths forum, and it looks like they will go well together.

They are almost perfectly compatible. A somewhat forgotten range from Black Tree but some real gems in here.
Just in case you wouldn't have noticed them, but the new Saxon Miniatures are also an almost perfect match for Footsore.

Thanks Willie. I'm now completely confused about what I want to do. My original plan was to build an Arthurian warband like Koyote's, using Footsore Arthurian and Late Roman figures. Then I saw Captain Blood's warband that uses Footsore Goths. Now I've found Black Tree Late Romans and you've mentioned Saxon Arthurians. Too much choice, too many great figures.

I am building an Arthurian army for Sword and Spear, using GB, Saxon Miniatures and Foostore, they all seem to fit well. I have used Westwind and Blacktree in the past (an earlier army I painted and sold), all work pretty well together. I have mixed in some early Saxons , goths etc in the past rationalising that warriors became less distinct in garb as the Saxon invasion moved on

I really like the Footsore figures. My only criticism of them is that I would like some rank-and-file Late Romans wielding swords rather than spears. Bernard Cornwell (my only historical source!) suggests that those in the front rank of a shieldwall would use a sword or seax in preference to a spear.
