28mm scale "triclops" helmets?
« on: June 13, 2017, 03:43:08 PM »
Okay, I'm pretty sure there's an official term for these things but I ain't got a clue as to what it is so I had to take
my amazing artistic talents and create a vague picture of what I'm looking for:

Take a moment to laugh.  :D
That's pretty much what I'm looking for a project, optimally with visible jaw but anything will be considered as
long as it's got those 3 vision points thing going on.
Would anyone know any manufacturer that makes these things?

I really have no idea what I'm doing.

Are they the Regiments heads, specifically the Ops Core ranges:

GW has space marine head almost exactly like you want but it has a lot more happening there and is a helmet.
But ocular pieces are salvageable as its plastic (or can be easily cast in greenstuff).

Might be worth looking at Empress, they have a number of heads with night vision.

SAS7 and 8 have multi optic gear, they also have separate heads with NVG.

Sounds like you might be after these guys...

AT-43 U.N.A. - Star Troopers (Operation Frostbite).

Long OOP, but they can still be had fairly cheaply here and there...
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

They haven't been released yet.

I think my brother might actually have that head in his spare parts pile... will have to ask him to have a look.

Those look like they might work and I do prefer a metal option.

Now these are pretty much spot on. Will try to keep an eye open if they pop up on eBay.

They haven't been released yet.

That would explain my inability to find them.  lol

These may fit?:

Those would indeed also fit and seem like it'd be reasonably simple to greenstuff the third goggle bit on.

Thanks, all - these'll be enough options to pick from.

Might be ideal to put a post up in the wanted section asking for the heads. Those minis come with two sets of head, tri-lense and no tri-lense, meaning any collector of AT-43 UNA models is going to have an excess of the tri-lense helmets. They also come in two colours, white or blue.
There are also 2 variants on those helmets too; a regular one and one with a small backwards cap to represent the unit's officer.

The PMC parts are pencilled in for general release from Anvil Industries at the end of June, but it's just in pencil right now.  They're a bit busy.
