This is a kickstarter I have backed that might be of interest to some of you:

For the size of the trolls, and the material (metal!), this is a great deal.  Not to mention that many have already been sculpted and cast so you can see what you are getting.  The trolls also come with variant arms and (I think) heads!  Don't miss out!

I have to say that I really like these trolls but the pseudo-scorpion mount is really nice.

Some interesting minis already on the manufacturer website, including the giant pedipalp:

http://www.mortalarrow.com/

They appear to be a US-based company.  Very much like the troll designs, and some of those concepts are just genius.  Of course a troll chieftain would carry a club with a bunch of severed but still functional troll arms strapped to it.  Naturally.  :)

Very cool project! Really like the look of these. EDIT: So I caved and am in for a trio.  lol  Don't think I can justify more than that, but I'm always inclined to support non-traditional fantasy figures.  8)  There's enough Tolkein-derived (whether directly or 4 and 5 degrees of separation) fantasy figures out there already...   ;)

I don't know if it was common with other groups, but when I was a kid playing AD&D, dismembered troll parts were a valuable tool in the adventurer's arsenal!

I don't have an interest in the trolls, but they do look very cool. Bookmarked the web site, as some of the other critters are of more interest to me at the moment. Cool stuff.

They do have some very nice big crawling/scuttling horrors on their shop. I think one of the upcoming stretch goals is a discounted version of the Giant whip scorpion.

Boy, those look good.  One thing I can't see on the KS page, is there a shipping charge to US addresses?  It must say something about postage somewhere but it's eluding me.

US based company, so it should be very reasonable.

@Hobby Services Thanks for the kind words.  Paul Muller is one of the most talented sculptors out there, and I'm trying to keep it old school by avoiding 3-D designed/printed minis. For sure, Lin'Chi and I are having fun with building a line around rebooted concepts of AD&D monsters in our fantiverse. Anyhow, shipping in the US is between $4 and $12 depending on the Pledge Level.

If this project funds, we will continue to look at other under-served humanoids/creatures for a follow-on small-scale Kickstarter. We have a few ideas kicking about.

But for now, our focus is on all things trolly. Hope you decide to jump in!  :D

@ZeroTwentythree - The 1980's concepts of biting severed heads and rending severed arms is one of the initial impetuses for this project (aka Descent into the Depths of the Earth  :D). We wanted to make it a little more macabre and a little less campy. We are considering an actual "macabre troll parts set" for decorating terrain pieces. But for now, we're trying to keep the project tight and focused so that we can successfully deliver on our first foray into Kickstarter.

Thanks for taking some time to check out some of the other minis in our webstore. We have a long term goal of building out unique milieus with back stories, creature write-ups and eventually minis for those concepts that seem to resonated with the table top gamers and hobbyists out there. We're in it for the fun of it, so we hope that others can enjoy too.

@Hupp n at em - Thanks for Backing!!! ;D I'm hoping to add a few more Troll types, even if we don't make the goals. I would rather over-deliver rather than underwhelm on this first KS.  Cheers!
