@DintheDin: Yeah, I thought that if Red-armoured, green-skinned Orks are what's asked for there's really no use in taking a subtle approach. Also: 40k. Why bother with subtlety. :D

@batu: Thanks very much for the compliment and suggestions. Read your comment before I went to bed last night, had a bit of a think, could write pragraphs and paragraphs about the topic, probably shouldn't. :D So I'll leave it at that: Maybe I will (have to) do all that in the future. I greatly enjoy doing painting workshops at wargames shows or dedicated group or solo painting workshops with people of all ages and skill levels. I used to do (painfully intricate) painting tutorials in the past for websites, magazines, and so on. Still do (to order). Which pretty much is my dream situation. Rest assured though that if or when I get on the whole video thing I will let all of you know. Endlessly, loudly. In gaudy colours. Possibly along with giveaways. ;) Feel free to follow me on Twitter (which is nice, and which I use a fair bit), Facebook (which is a wretched place) or instagram though.

@Nord: A-Yup. :D

Full disclosure - I started putting the Titan together a while ago actually, so here's another update to help bring this thread up to speed:

I'll see that I get as much done as possible on this guy over the weekend, because there's a LOT of stuff to do and of course I got a very short-term plea for help by someone I paint a lot of stuff for. He needs a ~1metre long U-Boot painted pretty much asap. So that'll mess up my schedule big time. :D Picking it up Monday morning. What are you all doing this weekend?

Hah - "he needs a ~1metre long U-Boot painted pretty much asap". Don't we all?

This weekend I prepped a fair few figures (including black spray paint, brown, lighter brown dry brush) and painted 6(!) of those straight away - some 15mm stags and lions from Eureka. Smallest batch I have done for a long time. No where near to what you pump out.

Right, let's jump ahead in time to almost-today.

Mr.Stripey can't feel his legs at the moment, but at least his interior is starting to take shape..

Earlier today I took a size comparison photo along with other 28mm-sized friends (Imperial Fist Marine, Alexander I., Viking Lady, Siberia Regiment Grenadiers):

So yeah, trying to get the gold done next, I guess. Hope you like him so far!

@Andym: Thanks. :)

@OSHIROmodels: Cheers, much appreciated.

He's supposed to go along with his Legio Crucius mates I painted a while ago:

So yeah, so far today I mostly finished off the pilots and cockpit. I guess I'm at the "last 20% which take 80% of the time" stage of the project now.

Yup, I get that as well lol

So smooth and neat! Legendary!
Sigur, you know I follow your other threads, but your brush in space obtains other dimensions and freedom!
Cheers!

@OSHIROmodels: :D Hey, if the gentleman I paint these for wants to have a legion, who am I to stop him? ;)

@von Lucky: Thanks very much, Sir!

@DintheDin: Thank you. :) Yeah, well, 40k stuff is good fun to paint. And indeed, you get to use colours which many historical minis don't allow for of course.

Right, time for an update!

Wolfshead (a.k.a. Mr.Stripey) is finished.

That's that. :) Hope you like him. I took great care that things (especially the interior) got the same colours as his Legio Crucius pal I painted a few years ago, especially wires, tubes, lenses/screens, etc. Which made it take a whole lot longer than just painting the things how I like. :D

...after that I painted a Baneblade.

Hope you like the photos. :)

Who could ever stand up to this amount (and tonnage) of imperial might?

A dynamic duo of bespandex'd heroes!

...and from there it's straight on to another Harlequin project! Here's three test minis for that:

I sent them off to get the colour scheme thumbed-up by the gentleman I paint these for. Fingers crossed.

Right, I hope you like the minis!

As for my own stuff - little news there. I got to play Rangers of Shadow Deep, of which I hope to do a review and game report soon. Until then - happy weekend!

Impressive work as always Sigur.  However, I am interested in how the Meter Long U-boat turned out.

@Easy E: Yikes stripes, you're right. I forgot posting that on here. :D One moment, I'll fix that in a bit!

edit: Right, it's up now: https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=119199.0. Must have missed posting it because it was such a rush due to the extremely tight deadline. :D
