indeed Chris I guess it doesn't really matter....its only my take
and a few authers...so the third ends up as the Franco-British expedition of 1860,,,,,,,,

The EVA and ETA side of things is fascinating with a splendid mix of
characters,,,,,,,,,,,,,just bought some books on the pirates circa that era
now that's something else......

the trick in those days was to keep your head on your shoulders
for the Chinese of all  factions and a clear head for the Anglo French...
and theres always the Russians :o

Those figures are really nice. The sculptor and the painter did a great job to depict precisely the manchu dress  :)
"The enemy? His sense of duty was no less than yours, I deem. You wonder what his name is, where he came from. And if he was really evil at heart. What lies or threats led him on this long march from home. If he would not rather have stayed there ... in peace. War will make corpses of us all."

Very nice.
I have already a big collection of FOUNDRY manchu and taiping miniatures but your miniatures will be some nice additions to my armies. The main drawback of the FOUNDRY range, in my opinion, was the lack of Brave figures. At the end, of the war, Braves armies were the main imperial fighting forces. Do you plan to produce Brave figures in your range, Ged ?  :)

Ged, just spotted these and they look really great and I wish you success on the new range. One question, given I have loads of the Foundry Chinese, how do these compare size-wise to your new offerings??? I would hate to have to start over again. I know most 28mm figs these days are more like 32-34mm, but I have hope. A comparison pic would be most welcomed. If your range fits in well with what I have I can actually finish off a lot of units!

Hi Rob.good to hear from you
glad you like the prospective new range..
without having seen any of the foundry
Chinese...I still reckon my figures are a
tad bigger............

Fantastic sculpts, and such characterful paintjobs too. If only I could justify starting yet another project  ;D

Same here...gorgeous, and a perfect period for gaming, but not until I clear off my bench. Indian Mutiny, Samurai, WWII British & Japanese...
