... Alliance of the Big Battalions Artistry ...

The scope for this "Grand Alliance" includes the ‘historical’ wargaming period known as the "Horse and Musket" period. In this case it includes the regimental warfare in the 18th and 19th century. So anything from the War of the Spanish Succession, the Great Northern War, Seven Years War, the Napoleonic wars, the American Civil War and the likes.

Note that the small scale Actions of the C18th (the French and Indian War for example) belongs to the ‘Pikes, Muskets and Flouncy Shirts’ board, not here, as well as the colonial stuff for the 18th & 19th Century. The But it’s a fine distinction, so we won’t be too picky.
:?
Sigh. I think I have nothing that fits this category. The only way I could get close would be figures from Warhammer (fantasy) that resemble the historical period, but those look more 16th century [?]

I could paint a Cannon [maybe?] I dunno if those would look out of place on their own without the crew (who might look kinda renaissance / landsnhectish).

Wait! I do have some 1:900 (I think) fighting sail models unbuilt. I think that's 2mm scale.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen,

with all these fascinating posts so far I also want to make my contribution to this painting club:

This gentleman is an officer of the Virginia militia serving with the ill fated Monongahela-campaign in 1755. After his escape he settled in a frontier fur post, now leading the regional militia angainst French an Indian attacks.

This is one of the superb minis of Galloping Major, a very nice one!

Cheers Hannibal

They were but I corrected it. I think vcina's 10mm stuff caused the confusion. Although it is perfectly fine for me that he shows his regiments, his Miniatures do not qualify for the Alliance, because they are not single figures. Vcina correctly did not number his pictures, so 6 entries is the current status.
