Great looking games above.

Herewith, a Playmobil game using Fistful of Lead - this really is playing with toy soldiers. Just going to show again how versatile these rules are... One can play virtually anything...

A Spanish fort with its French Governor is attacked by some English Privateers. Fortunately, they have managed to fool the Spanish into believing that they are bringing much-needed supplies to the fort. This at least gains them entry... But for how long can they keep the Spanish fooled, especially as only the Captain of the attacking English and the man they snuck into the fort some weeks earlier to convince the governor of the supply ship can speak Spanish. Inspiration being taken from the likes of Pirates of the Caribbean. Some good old-fashioned swashbuckling fun and playing with 'real' toy soldiers - LOL.

Thank you Grumpy, Gnome, Dentatus and Diehard - the game certainly put a smile on our faces...many laughs and loads of roleplaying. You know your suffering from figmentia when any miniature no matter the scale or detail has an attraction -  lol

Herewith. something more serious - a Victory at Sea First Edition Mongoose Publishing - Pacific Theatre WW II Naval Game.

For additional House Rules see: https://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/28974/soulmages-house-rules

and for a good review see: https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/166792/victory-sea-biased-review

These are really nice rules and quick and easy to get into with relatively large numbers being able to be gamed with fun and ease. I do love the inclusion in the rules of counters and also loads of scenarios especially when also adding the additional Victory at Sea book called "Order of Battle". Seems better than the more recent Warlord Miniatures option... at least for my purposes as I am really not keen on larger scaled model ships and am therefore happy to stick with the counters which has the feel of both a board game and a miniatures game.

My idea here was to test a campaign I want to do which will start with the naval element as the American fleet tries to get to the Island and then end with a miniatures series of games involving a beach assault and taking of a runway etc as the marines move increasingly inland on said Island - see for instance:

A friend had a visit to Warhammer World. So came back full of joys of GW and set-up a game of Blood Bowl.

Chaos team vs Dark Elves in a 1-1 draw.

Furt your Western Town looks great  :o

This is a picture of Greater Snoring in East Anglia - The residents have gone back to sleep after the tanks rolled through early in the morning.

That's German tanks!!

And before someone drove a black car into the Antiques Shop window attempting to rescue two old Duffers Heros and all hell broke loose.

I've posted the game on the Pulp board but have to warn you it's a long read, though there are a few pictures breaking up the interminable text.

Anyone interested in WWll history will understand why it's on the Pulp Board.  :)

Cheers

I'm on summer break so I finally get a chance to play some games.

My daughter and Iplayed through the first scenario of the Bugman's Lament Campaign

She managed to get one beer cart off the table but lost the other two to persistent goblin shooting.

I also got in a fantstic game of Frostgrave on a great looking table. All the terrain was 3D printed by my opponent.

We each grabbed three treasure tokens in a fun back and forth game.
