Great games above - keep 'em coming...

Got to play my first Wings of Glory game at the local club. The first game was beginners luck as I was the last surviving aircraft, though I  only got to damage other aircraft not shoot them down and then in the second game my objective was to photograph some ships but I landed up flying off the table so into the water with a splash LOL.

See: https://www.wycombewarband.org/ The club also has a Facebook page.

It is a fun game when playing with others though one should not take it too seriously given the overall lack of realism.

Little Wars TV did a nice scenario for Wings of Glory see:

One can download the scenario on their website, sign up for free for their free stuff,  see: https://www.littlewarstv.com/

This chap prints 3d wargame models and they were at Colours 2022 he has a nice range of very well priced 1/144 scale WWI models. See: https://www.syborg3dprinting.co.uk/

We were with has.been at the colours show last week, and aimed him at the ww1 aircraft. Even he bought one.
Can I ask where you get your flying bases from ?

These aren't mine. Model wise they are Wings of Glory which come painted and assembled with these bases.

Another 28mm WW2 game using Fistful of Lead: Bigger Battles.  The German attack across the causeway at Le Fiere on D-Day.

This weekend my son and I played another game of Grimdark Future.   I already had the countryside setup from Chicago Skirmish Club Night, so I dug out some sci-fi/Post-Apoc buildings that haven't seen the table in years.  Even with the more recent Tau figures, it kind of has an old school WD BatRep look I think.

The Mad Lord Snapcase is visiting the GRIM North and this is the game we played on Saturday.

A pleasant Swedish village, proir to a Danish Vikings Jarl's visit, he was accompanied by some Wessex warmongerers on holiday.

This was the village when they left, although it didn't pan out as well as the holidaymakers might have hoped.

We have 4 or 5 games planned for the extended weekend.
Cheers

Sundays Game was trying to rescue Mme de Gaulle from an internment camp. This is a little known episode in the early history of SIS just after Dunkirk.

An overview of the camp.

The SBS paddle up the river in a bold attempted rescue. The SAS commanded by a member of the Snapcase family are lagging behind, somewhere over the horizon.

Beautiful looking games Vagabond.  If I may ask, what do you use for the landforms, is it MDF, carpet tile?
