Great looking! The terrain, the minis, the canals, the ducks and all!
And some beautiful pics! Especially the low angle ones!
Must have been an enjoyable game!
Eager to see the scenario published!

I've just ordered the Black ops ruleset, how do you find 'em?

Well in short my opinion about these rules:

PROS:

-Very easy to learn. Any player with a basic knowledge of wargames usually ready to play this game in twenty minutes or so.

-Rules have a great action movie style in them. It is pretty easy to recreate any of your favorite movies or games.

-Rules have a nice stealth system. In fact I think that this system is the best I`ve encountered in skirmish games so far.

-Very easy to modify and add new rules to a basic core set. As an example I can say that we managed to convert these rules to play a game of Aliens with only few additions to cover some Aliens specific tech.

CONS:

-After receiving his fees for creating this game author just run away and never provided any FAQ`s or updates to the rules. Meaning that you will never get any answer if you encounter some obscure moment in rules or typo in the book (and there a plenty of typos in the book)

-Campaign system is totally bland and uninteresting so in our gaming club we just threw it away and used better options

-It would be good to have more assorted modern military tech trinkets in the book. Things like drones, tanks and helicopters.
In our club we ended writing rules for these things ourselves.

As I have a pretty good experience with these rules by now you can ask any questions if you encounter any problem with these rules.

P.S Forgot to post link to a full game report with a basic English translation: http://abdulgoldberg.blogspot.ru/2017/09/los-cuatro-fantasmas.html

Thanks for that Nimrod, very helpful, and thanks for the offer to answer my questions when I get it all wrong!

A bit of Bolt Action, 2k worth of Italians Cultists versus 2k of british (unpainted, so they don't get to have capital letters.)

Great to see this thread is just as wonderful and inspiring as the original.

I particularly am drawn to Matakishis fantasy adventures. I'd love to do something like that. An ongoing saga part way between a wargame and an RPG. Brilliant stuff
