That's the ship from the 70s/80s version of Buck Rogers, isn't it? I had a die-cast one of those when I was a little kid.

Came with a little plastic 'Twiki' as I recall.

Yes it is the Diecast from Buck Rogers.
A nice Sci-Fi design. That is one of three
picked up at various Diecast fairs (remember
them). They were not in a good state when
I got them, that is why I got them cheap.
Now they are up to Wargaming standard
& getting some table action. Great as a
plot point or a means of escape.

With the vaccines finally rolling out I've finally been able to get some in person gaming time. My buddy and I are learning 9th Ed through an escalation league. We played a 500 point Combat Patrol game with my Dark Eldar getting their first outing with their new codex. My friend played his Death Guard and we had a fun back and forth game ending in a tie after 5 turns.

A game of Shoot N' Skedaddle with a buddy

Anecdote from above: For this game, the scenario had boiled down to "a wagon carrying barrels of blasting powder will arrive in town - the Outlaws wish to steal it for nefarious purposes". So...late in the game the wagon arrives, being driven by a randomly chosen character - in this instance a Trail Boss (back of the wagon). He sees that there is already a gunfight going on so he begins galloping around, and cuts an Outlaw in half with a sawed off shotgun. Moments later the Thug (front of the wagon) runs up and shoots the Trail Boss, wounding him. The Thug then takes a bullet in the back from a Judge, shooting from the second story of the sheriff's office. A fellow Outlaw finally shoots the Trail Boss and he collapses, dead. The Thug hops onto the wagon, wounded, and begins galloping away. Only...the Trail Boss is revived (the Lawmen player drawing the only revive card from his 39-card deck) and he wakes up in the back of the wagon with an empty shotgun. He proceeds to lasso the Thug, shocking him, while he attempts to reload his shotgun. He then puts the sawed off shotgun in the Thugs back and fires...killing him. ONLY...then the Thug's player draws their only revive card...and the THUG gets back up and fires at the Trail Boss, failing to kill him. The nonsense is ended when a sheriff nearby finally plugs the Thug and kills him...permanently.

TL/DR: The Trail Boss is actually a T-800 terminator.

Same friend, same armies, different table and mission (the fun Supply Drop Combat Patrol)

My friend did a better job using cover and made a series of lucky roles. In the end, my speed was unable to overcome the Death Guard's resilience (I did blast apart his Warlord for the second game in a row) and he won the game convincingly.

The other member of our group will be fully vaccinated this week and will be mixing it up with his quarantine Necrons.
