Be mindful of the prayers you send
Pray hard but pray with care
For the tears that you are crying now
Are just your answered prayers

Big Samurai battle. Used Hail Caesar.

I was pleased to use the figures front right with the brown banners, I painted them for my mate 18 years ago, still in his army.

Samurai armies always look so good on the table.

This just goes to show that our miniature armies are things of value - 18 years later and your well-painted figures are still doing battle!

Who won? :D

Love big Japanese battles. Yours looks good (the word is not too strong).
The laws of probability do not apply to my dice in wargames or to my finesses in bridge.

I did, even better! A combination of good dice rolls and force concentration. I sent the well supported Samurai (in the picture) against the enemy centre, and rolling 3 moves (A Hail Caesar/ Black Powder mechanism) meant I was on him before he could get his units over in support. I'll also distracted him by sending the mounted samurai on a wide flank, he didn't want them tearing down his line. My Samurai, plus throwing in the Generals in the front rank (I lost one and the CinC was wounded) meant I caused enough casualties to break two brigades out of four, game over.

Apologies for the eye cancer...but a few days ago we play-tested a multiplayer wargame in my classroom. I had roughly 15 students. I made up the rules..and all I can say is, it was what it was...We had fun. If anyone knows of a simple - and I stress simple - rules that would scale up well for lots of students please drop by my blog and leave a suggestion..see what I did there?  :)

Loving the look of all the new games.

Played another game of Battlefleet Gothic at the local club. Played as the Imperial space marine sorts versus Chaos - the scenario was that they had transports they were trying to get to the other side... safe to say it ended badly for the forces of chaos as each transport fell from the heavens the Emperor be praised...

I do not normally show the games I did not play but below is also a Dead Man's Hand table that looked stunning...

More pictures are available here: https://frictionbmcminiatures.blogspot.com/2022/12/wycombe-warband-battlefleet-gothic-and.html

The moment of truth - overkill with multiple torpedoes of the last transport vessel.
