Very cool, definitely and under-appreciated war with regards to wargaming.

First game I've played since at least 2018, and despite owning the game since it came out, my first ever game of Congo:

It was heaps of slightly silly fun involving a giant ape being worshipped by natives, and with dastardly Europeans trying to cart it home to put in a zoo (which they managed to do).

This Friday past, my regular gaming group got it a couple games of Fistful of Lead.  28mm US 1920s gangsters.  The gangsters try to rob a US Mail truck.  Guarded by US Marines.  Neither game went well for the gangsters - it turns out that those Marines could shoot!  AARs are up on my thread in the Pulp board here.

Love those monochrome shots! They really fit the atmosphere of the setting.

Great looking games above as always. I particularly like the look of yours Has Been but then I have a soft spot for Hind Helicopters.

This week's wargame at the local club - One Page Rules Fantasy Regiments using BattleMasters minis. The encounter had a nice old-school feel to it. I was also able to tweak the army lists to match the Battlemaster minis and size of units though this then does not always provide the most sensible units given the game's brutal morale rules. It was over relatively quickly and is ideal for club gaming.

Rules as well as other systems and settings freely available here: https://webapp.onepagerules.com/

Thanks Golgotha, but the Hind...Terrain, vehicles & figures are all owned by my mate Ian.
We (our local informal group) are trying to get more games on fixed dates, hence the
working title of 'Regulars' We are retired & therefore can have games other than weekends.
We are (at the present) having the 'Host' set up the game. This means more gaming time.
Sorry that should say more time for laughing, micky taking & talking bo##oc#s. lol lol lol

At least it sounds like you were having fun Has Been.

Last week's game at the local club. Why have you stolen my honey - Lord of the Rings.

This was my first time playing on this side of the Geek Villain mat, I am very happy with this mat, see:

https://geekvillain.co.uk/

Note the very large bears - more pictures here: https://frictionbmcminiatures.blogspot.com/2023/01/wycombe-warband-why-have-you-stolen-my.html

The only minis on the table that were mine were these goblins.
