I ran 2 more games of my 1920s US Prohibition-Era "Rob the Mail Truck" scenario at Drums at the Rapids at Fort Meigs in Ohio, US this Saturday past.  I've now run this game 6 times, using 2 different rule sets.  The Marines/Post Office are 6-0, although the gangsters came close in the 2nd game Saturday....

Battle Reports are up on Page 9 of my "Pulp" thread...

A Routine Patrol?

We landed upon the shores of the old church on the outskirts of town, only to see a horrid sight. The priest and nuns were evidently escaping, only to have fallen before they could flee. The bandits were as much brave as foolhardy, reducing our numbers by two, and a lucky shot nearly felling the Mystic. Our meek forester guide is no longer with us, and the youngster feral recovers from his injuries. We did find a hefty sword and a bow in the muck. The Mystic arms herself with these weapons as trophies from her near-fatal hit. What bothers me are the accursed altars and curious pillars the bandits emerged from. The church was built too close to a terrible place...

2D battlemats by Loke Battle Mats, "Box of Adventure: Coast of Dread". Good boxed set of loose maps you can use to make approximately 3x3 setups.
3D terrain by Archon, "Encounters: Swamps of Doom".
Miniatures by Reaper, Bones miniatures.
Fallen miniatures by Tiny Furniture.

Loke Battle Mats will have their Mega-Maps KS later this year, as will Tiny Furniture with their "Harvest of War 2: Creatures" casual markers KS!

A game of Oathmark played at North Star's office, with Rich and Matt. We're planning the Salute game we're going to put on this April, & as the terrain's set up we had a game, why not.

I really like this; this reminds me of what in-shop Games Workshop tables from the 90s used to look like.

Another game of my micro-skirmisher Showdown :)
Had to travel for this one, so really appreciated the small board size on the bus.

This game pitted my decidedly mean-spirited elves and a couple of disposable zombie minions against a gaggle of goblins for control of the area. After a zombie got to the guts of the goblin shaman, the rest were easy pray and the goblins quickly fled the field.

Its a while since Ive played my opponent in showdown, so I went a bit too hard for what was essentially an introductory game. Still we did have fun and a good discussion afterwards.

Ouch.  That’s something you never want to see…I hope the repairs list isn’t too long!

Always make sure your table legs are locked!

Yikes  :o :o :o I bet you had a few choice exclamations when that happened.

Good advice. Truly hope nothing was damaged so badly it could not be repaired

Closest I've come is having one of my old 40K "bins" fall off a table and smash up half of my tanks...fortunately I'd stopped playing 40K so I still haven't fixed them.  But seeing it in slow-motion from across the room was...painful.

The Silver Bayonet, scenario 4 - The dead Agent:

The moment when my Lieutenant of the Regiment Nassau-Usingen found the corpse whose ring had to be captured and secured. Although I managed to do that, the game ended in a draw, because the Spanish inflicted more casualties among Nassauers and goblins alike, as well as they investigated more clues - 4:4 points in the end...
