I'm surprised that no one's mentioned that Brigade Games makes figures that specifically depict this unit.

Can see many now repainting their fanciful "red guards" glad I did not fall into that Osprey trap. Minis look great despite any historical issues maybe a dark wash could easily tone the red down a notch.

I do personally think that the RCW is colourful enough historically without any need to be too fantastical in ones adding of pulp elements.

I didnt use Osprey at all  ;)
But i know what you mean...
Im trying for colourful units.
They were washed in Army Painter strong tone...they were too dark IMHO so i did a light layer of the basecoat on raised portions...
Photos arent the best but i think they are better in person

I think they look great. Once you get them based the red uniform will all come together better.I recently tried basing figures in red(Space Marines :D) and I thought they looked a little off, like man its sooooo red!, till I did a base on one.
I agree with one of the above posters.Khaki gets boring if your doing armies.
I really like the white and blue uniforms Cuprum pictured too.

Thanks!

I named it Nochnye Volk or Night Wolf

Decal is an old GW Space Wolf one.

Originally had a second one on the other side but I damaged it before sealing
