Swashbuckling Viking Jarl
« on: July 07, 2017, 11:24:22 AM »
I made this Viking Jarl. His sword needs some squaring up, so I'll file the metal masters square. He'll join my Bears Head Miniatures range soon.

Are you going to do a version with the eyepatch?

Thank you Frank. No, I think an eyepatch could be kitbashed if required. But it would look cool 😎

I guess it would be rude not to have a Tony Curtis. I'll have to dig out some pictures.

Lol. Thank you for all the kind comments. I've revised his left hand and broadened his shoulders a smidge, since the pic was taken.
Next ill add a slotta tab and then he's off to the caster!

What a great figure from one of my favorite movies. If your going to do the male leads, how about Janet Leigh? :-*

Great idea!
Constructive observations - the waist is a little high. It looks like he's done the belt up just under his ribs.
And the groin seems a bit low. Short leg syndrome.

Needs a hawk to go with it. And I'll echo the need for a Tony and Ernest. And don't forget Janet Leigh.

All good points and thanks for the critique. I adjusted the crotch and lowered the belt as advised and I'm much happier with the sculpt 👍

I'm liking the look of this project. I may have to purchase a set to add to my existing Vikings to give me some slightly different looking characters. Keep up the good work!
I'm not a mercenary. Killing's more of a hobby for me.
