Paint Agitators ( UK )?
« on: July 21, 2017, 12:21:47 PM »
Looking to buy some paint agitators, I have been using glass beads but finding them to light to do the job properly.

I know the correct stainless steel bearing will do the job without rusting or corroding, so can anybody here recommend
the correct ones to buy please.

I am in the UK

I simply snip off pieces of sprue and flash and toss these in my bottles. It's working well for years now :)

AK, Green Stuff World and MIG offer them

Thanks for the links I went for the AK Steel Shakers, hope you realise the ones that you linked to
are not for use in acrylic paints.

These are the ones for acrylic - http://ak-interactive.com/v2/product/stainless-steel-shakers/

I went to a bicycle shop and bought a couple of packs of suitably sized ball bearings and that must have been all of 12 years ago, no problems so far  :)

One other option is to use a nail polish / varnish shaker!

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Elite99-Professional-Time-saving-Separation-Manicure/dp/B01L6U75CI/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1500673136&sr=8-1&keywords=nail+polish+shaker+machine

Main issue maybe keeping the straps tight on some of the smaller bottles?

Just come across - not as neat but love the wobble!

Centering it as per part two is better...

Think I'll stick to the balls lol
