Finally I just got mine and I rather like him. A big thumbs up to my local newsagent who kept him in perfect condition for me
He is a little small compared to a similarly posed Perry figure I have [
] and and a lot less "chunky" than my Foundrys , so I can't see him fitting with the larger ranges out there. He will fit in very well with them, so I'm more than happy with his proportions. I agree that the detail is lacking compared to the metal figures that the Perrys, Copplestone and all the other sculpting maestros produce, but it is fine by me. The same is apparent in many of GW's Lord Of The Rings figures and they paint up very well.
The Montero is definitely odd compared to the very accurate Perry version, but a little carving and sculpting with a scalpel will get it looking much better.
Now to get him painted so I can compare him properly to my existing figures.
See, marmot.
This is why I spend most of my time in the loft, away from people....
Oh, is that the reason? It's not what I heard ........
