Yes, indeed! Only a relatively small number of painters produce stuff that benefits from matt, I reckon. In most cases, gloss adds richness, depth and lustre. I suspect that the rise of internet blogs and thus more photographing of miniatures has driven the rise of matt, rather than how miniatures actually look on the table.

Anyway, the results here are splendid!

Absolutely wild. That chariot rider is definitely the sort of thing that would be at the head of pipe dream-esque Chaos army, eyes rolling in all directions as he chops enemies in half.

All your stuff heavily makes me think more of Berserk than it does Blanchitsu (in the best possible way). Something like:

Absolutely love them! Hadn't visited your blog for a while - it's all looking brilliant! The Shaggoth is one of my favourite GW models (trumped by the 90's 2 axe beastlord, who is very very cool), he looks brill here. Really great.
