This will be my catch all thread for things 40K and 'grimdark'.

I was waiting until I had all the figures for the Arena of Blood game painted up before I started this thread showing the arena build (there were still three minis to complete after the initial photo, finished them last week). This entry got absolutely slaughtered in the LPL- I had a feeling I would lose anyway but not that badly ;) None-the-less it was a fun project and I plan to take it further with more wyches, some monsters, violet fungi instead of murder stakes, etc...

The arena is a combination of cast plaster, cast resin, laser cut acrylic and card, gatorfoam, and foamcore.

My blog has a lot more detail on the build.

It's so clean! Maybe you need some cleaning slaves with mops for between rounds.

It's a beautiful project, really nicely put together! :)

A really lovely little project. Excellently presented and very nicely painted.

I will echo the 'needs a bit of blood' comment because it is so beautifully clean at the moment, that it doesn't scream 'arena of blood'.
