Thanks all :) I feel compelled to go with a Dredd vibe :)

You may be thinking of the 2nd generation Adeptus Arbites? These guys only had three variants- leader, bolter, and shotgun.

My Inquisitor for the month of June is "Hector Rex" and retinue from Forge World.

Not my favorite model, I actually preferred to paint the acolytes. Next month back to a rogue trader Inquisitor.

Love the acolytes Matt. They’re brilliant.

I mean the main character is brilliantly painted too, but I’m not really tuned into the current over the top GW design aesthetic to appreciate it. Just looks a bit bonkers to me, but that’s my cross to bear  lol

TBH, the backdrop alone is worth the price of entry. Gorgeous.

I bear the same cross, there's way too much going on a lot of the time :)
I need to paint some Copplestone for therapy now  lol

Copplestone will definitely be a change of pace from current GW!

Beautifully painted as always.

The whole 40k world IMO is pretty over the top, really. But they have been pumping out minis for what... decades! So there must be something to it.

Another great addition to a thread filled with dazzling eye candy!  :-*

Super nice paint job!  I didn't even know about the existence of this figure.  I just ordered it after seeing your post as well as the other Inquisitor Forge World has posted there, plus some slavers for Necromunda.

Nice! The Forge World Solomon Lok will be coming up in the queue- I really like that model.

Some more nice work there.  I know what you mean about some of the GW figures being a bit too busy (I'm working on a couple of the Blackstone Fortress heroes at the moment - they've got a lot going), the acolytes are very cool - I like the less combaty figures.

Not a fan of the sculpts but really appreciate the paint jobs, and that background is worth a photo all to itself

You're not kidding, the Blackstone minis took a lot of time.

Thanks :) They are not Forge World's best output :)

Next up: June's Oldhammer 40k 'Adventurers' entry, techs and cyborgs.

Test-bed Slave, Talisman Scientist, Tech-Priest Zon, Converted Zon, Tech-Priest Schlan, Talisman Cyborg, and the Adventurers range Cyborg.

I had an extra Tech-Priest Zon, and I felt the urge to convert him and paint him up like Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, who has been getting a lot of media exposure lately. The gribbly behind them is a 3D print I bought from Dragon's rest when I was picking up my Blackstone layout. It includes a tealight to produce the weird underglow.

On track more or less to get these painted by year's end :)

More excellent work.  Your Fauci looks good. Obviously a younger Fauci when he still worked in a lab.  I bet he remembers those days fondly.   lol
