Beautiful madness indeed.  Is that a family visit to the Inquisition training school?   lol

Haha, field trips in the grim darkness of the far future!
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Lovely work on the Inquisitor, but I really love the tones on the Relic Hunters.

I've been wanting to finish up a squad I've had in progress for a couple years now, the 2nd edition 40K Frateris Militia. Last up to finish off the squad of 20 was some special weapons and a standard bearer. All are conversions, new heads or weapons. The heavy stubbers are way too big but after looking for original Necromunda stubbers it didn't seem worth the time, money, or effort so I went with modern Genestealer stubbers. To lift them the priest must be giving them a little dose of Frenzon ;)

I also added two more VOID militia to the group.

Some more lovely figures there.  I like the cohesive look to the group - I went the other way with my Frateris Militia and had a hodgepodge of colours.  Funnily enough I was thinking of expanding my militia but pondering what figures to use; I was hitherto unaware of those Scotia Grendel militia figures - they're absolutely spot on for the job.

Thanks- I wanted these to look like a group of former workers or indentured laypeople, with issued clothing, or Imperial citizens with a limited range of local dyes. Keeping them fairly unified is mainly to keep them separated visually as I have plans for a second militia unit... someday!

The VOID militia are great, I love them all.

I recently painted up some "Murder Hornets" (acquired when Akula was selling his Dune Space Opera figures) and some Zoats. One of the Zoats is a modern Knightmare Games figure- fits right in with the Rogue Trader guys which fetch a pretty penny these days. I painted them all fairly quick using mostly Contrast paints with just a little bit of direct painting.

Beautiful paintwork Doc, the Zoats and Hornets especially  :-*
Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

Great stuff, thanks for continuing to share. I was unsure about the VOID stuff but you really brought them to life.

Some more very nice work.  Noting the different basing colours, do you intend not to mix and match your Zoats/Murder Hornets/Eldar on the gaming table with your urban Imperial citizens?

I don't know, my basing is all over the place. I have snow, urban ruins, urban, desert, Necromunda industrial, Spacehulk green, generic outdoors, and some that are half and half. I debated on these a lot and decided on what I thought looked best with them. It's a mess.

Since they get such a small amount of table time it probably doesn't matter much :)

Looks great! Those zoats are pretty cool, I've never seen the original figures before, only the new one from Blackstone Fortress.
