Storytelling in a single picture is an art in itself. Combine that with wonderful terrain and beautiful miniatures and something truly special emerges.

An absolutely stunning display, Dr...  8) :-*

PS: I absolutely love the statue of the saint with the missilelauncher. Is that a printed or converted piece?
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Thanks everyone, appreciated. My hobby productivity plummets once school starts up, but I managed to find time to paint a thing or two, take photos, and knock out a little narrative. I really enjoy writing as an observer taking in the peculiar practices of the 40k setting.

PS: I absolutely love the statue of the saint with the missilelauncher. Is that a printed or converted piece?

It is printed, from a couple sources I 'digitally kitbashed' together. The launcher was from a paid file, so I'm not really distributing the file as is- but I am planning to make my own launcher and I'll be able to distribute a new mashup somehow or another.
a mixture of quick parts, sarcastic humour, reserve, and caprice.

Our Lady of the Blessed Fragmentation :D I like that statue a great deal- it's a perfect 40k twist on old fashioned religious iconography.

The story is great, by the way. I much prefer the earlier, less-serious 40k to the current lore, and the idea that the kids can have some supervised fun (but only if they learn their prayers!) feels a lot more believable.

I will add my vote to compiling all of these stories in one place, whether it's a book or a blog  :)

Current projects: collecting way too many vintage Warzone models.

I seem to have been away from this thread for a little while and have had several pages to catch up on.  As ever, it's all wonderful stuff and I'm insanely jealous.   ;)

Thanks guys :)

I'll give creating a compilation of narratives and images a thought. Might be fun to do!

For now, I leave the city and offer up 'The Mandalorkian'. I painted a Wargames Exclusive goblin in a Baby Yoda style carrier a while back, and had been wanting to make a guardian for him. Once I saw Puppets War had a 3D printable set with a Boba Fett helmet, it was a matter of printing one off and making a proper disintegrator rifle.

The Mandalorkian.

And just like that a new series is born.  How could you go wrong with a Disney series created in the W40K mythos?  :)

That gobbo just hits way too close to the mark; brilliant! And the guardian is pretty spiffy too!

This is the Waaagh!!
