Looking for a (swords?)woman in a charging pose
« on: July 12, 2017, 07:18:58 AM »
A long while back, I did this mini (a conversion of a Willy miniatures not-Blood-Bowl figure).

I need a similar figure in basically the same charging pose, only without the heavy gear and such since I want to convert it and do the costume myself. She doesn't need to have a sword even, since I can easily add one myself. I just need the running/charging pose itself. The head will almost certainly be a headswap, so even that doesn't matter too much.

Any suggestions?

I joined my gun with pirate swords, and sailed the seas of cyberspace.

Haika (and also Hasslefree's Haleth) are the closest to a charging pose, but yes, both have too much equipment (and in any case Hasslefree is too small for this particular figure).

Maybe look through the gazzillions of Heroclix figures. There's bound to be something useful and they are plastic so can be converted rather easily.  most wear tight costumes to start with, so not a lot of clutter.

Three I can think of from the top of my head

There's lots of dynamic female miniatures that would fit well with that first one in Freebooter's Fate. :)

I actually decided on Witch Elf bodies from GW. Not only do they have light clothing (if any), since they're plastic they will convert more easily.

I've had a bunch of half-finished miniprojects for ages (little figure groups & such). It's annoying my hobbyist OCD that none of them are finished, so I want to complete one instead of starting something else halfway, but I'm waiting for parts/figs to arrive for most of them, so I've been pretty idle minis-wise.  >:(
