17th Century Civilians
« on: July 23, 2017, 06:10:37 PM »
I recently finished up a batch of 17th century civilians that will most likely see action as English Civil War "Clubmen" in the Pikeman's Lament.

There are more pictures of the individual units on my blog:

They look really good. Who makes the figures?

Thanks!

They're a mix of miniatures from Warlord Games, Wargames Foundry, Casting Room Miniatures, Redoubt Enterprises and I think there might even be a figure in there from Dixon Miniatures (the preacher at the back of the unit in the middle). The unit on the left of the picture is all Warlord Games, the unit on the right of the picture is all Redoubt, the one in the middle is a mix of Warlord Games, Wargames Foundry, Casting Room Miniatures, and Dixon Miniatures.

I'm trying to get through my "core" pike & shot units before I get distracted by clubmen and civilians but an angry mob's worth of civilians would be a lot of fun to paint up...

They look really good. Perhaps you could use them for colonists beating up the locals in skirmish games?

These are lovely.

I could also see a lot of uses for them in all sorts of scenarios and settings, besides being slaughtered by Royalists and Parliamentarians.

Great work Tim! I always have had a soft spot for the Redoubt range. A little big perhaps, but so characterful.
