Nasty looking Wights
« on: July 27, 2017, 03:17:25 PM »
The latest commission finished, this time from Conquest Games' 'Myths of Albion' fantasy range.

First up are the foot Wights, each pack comes with separate shields and separate weapon arms. I've greenstuffed around the shoulder joints on the weapon arms to hide the join.

By the way, the nice fuzzy moss on the bases is my own homemade stuff using 1mm flock, but the rather lovely 'marsh grass' tufts are from Great Escape Games (I didn't even know they did basing stuff).

'Sir John ejaculated explosively, sitting up in his chair.' ... 'The Black Gang'.

Now here's where it gets really icky. The horses are just ... so nasty and so well done. One of the more disturbing painting jobs I've done.

Incidentally, they might be labelled as Wights, but they can obviously be anything from Zombies, to Skeletons, to Draugr, or Ghosts, ... or whatever.

Startlingly dead!

I can really see why you called them "disturbing".

Great work! I'm taking notes to fix up my mounted lich.

Considering their present condition, your Deadite creations are LOOKIN' WONDERFUL; i.e., BEAUTIFULLY painted & based. VERY WELL DONE!
Your moss effect gives me an idea for how to use the low grasses between the taller clumps of Heki Savannah Grass mats...inspiration is always appreciated.

Beautiful work!  :-*

What scale are these please? They look a bit like 15mm.

Scary, almost semi-ethereal in parts. Really, really impressed, this is art.

I agree with Duncan.......ART!!
And very well done...rather frighteningly well done...I think I will sustain nightmares of a skelly cavalry running me down as I race across the battle field in FULL retreat!!!!!!!
Cheers....
