Help with ID'ing an armoured car
« on: July 30, 2017, 06:46:57 PM »
Hi chaps,
I was wondering if any of the more well versed thread-heads here on LAF might help me identifying the armoured cars pictured in the photo below:

Its from the Irish Civil War, if anyone should wonder. If anyone know of a 28mm version of the car, I'd be very interested.

Cheers!

I think those are the Lancia chassis fitted with armoured bodies by the Dublin workshops of the GS&WR.

Not really my period, but nevertheless I think Chris is right. I was sure 'Musketeer Miniatures' bought one out as a Lancia Armoured Truck, but I can't see it in the Footsore Miniatures catalogue.

Thanks chaps, a bit more Googleing on the Lancia turns up quite a few more pictures, and it looks spot on. Thank you all for the input, I'll have a look at the mdf version if I can't find any resins!

Pretty confident that Reviresco type is 20mm.

It's1/72 so nearer 25mm I use it with 20mm so it could work with 28mm but would be a bit small. The MDF one is a better option for 28mm
