Really nice figures. Sounds like the Byzantines have been put on hold (or cancelled). Any update on these?

Patience, sir!  Keith said they were going to wrap up the Hellenistic cavalry before moving on to the Byzantines.

More cavalry added, mixed armours and mail. Using these and the new attic helmets they make Carthaginian cavalry, use the Montefortino and Samnite helmets and they become allied southern Italian cavalry used by both Rome and Carthage, listed this way to show the possibilities.

The new cavalry continues to be great Keith.  Any chance before you leave the Hellenistics for some more late/magna grecia Hoplites?

Here are the new Thorakitai. They have separate heads and a selection of helmets although the rank and file have an ascalon styled helmet as standard. They come in packs of 4 and the 16 figure unit deal. The packs have the new thureos shield, spears where applicable and standard. Next up thureophoroi and new Imitation Legionaries.

Cast in pewter 28mm.

Cheers Keith

Was getting impatient about photos - well worth the wait!   Excellent figures and a wonderful set of command.   Already have some of the earlier imitation legionaries Keith but, if this lot is anything to go by, they will be joined by some of the later ones as well!

There goes the budget...............

Cheers

For a future project some Steppe cavalry

Painting trumps hoarding. :D
Very well done, Keith! As I don't have storage room for a fully fledged 28mm army, I'm desperately trying to come up with a micro-skirmish theme for these models. ;)

These all look terrific.

I think your color choice for the Macedonian cavalry is really terrific!
