Our grandsons are very keen on Games Workshop's "Lord of the Rings - Strategy Battle Game" and "The Hobbit". We were given a lot of Orcs by their uncle and while we were watching one of their favourite cartoon shows Callum said that the flag would look good on some orcs. So we thought about a force based on the TV cartoon.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horrid_HenryWe converted Orridenri on foot and mounted on a warg. The boys did most of the painting. The entire army uses mainly blues, yellows and purples (except the shaman who has green armour because Aiden liked the colour!)
Orridenri – War Leader
Orridenri is a violently aggressive, self-centred, haughty Uruk Hai who has issues with authority who will typically be faced with a problem and then will often retaliate in interesting ways that involve trickery, rule-breaking and elaborate cunning plans. As a result he is usually stationed on the north western boundaries of Mordor – Dagorlad, Dead Marshes, Nindalf and raiding into Wilderland, Mirkwood, Gondor, Rohan and as far north as the Iron Hills - so has almost constantly been in action against Men, Elves or Dwarves. His warriors are well equipped with captured weapons and armour.
Then we added a shaman, a horn blower, a banner and some bodyguards. We are going to add a drummer later.
And the infantry
And the Warg Riders and Wild Wargs
