Painting undead skin - The Mountain style
«

Lads, I was lucky to grab this large lad for my fantasy Japan project, from AEG Clan War. He's quite huge and reminds me of The Mountain from GOT. As a result, I was thinking about painting him with that choked, purple undead skin color, but unsure how to proceed color wise. Was hoping someone has some suggestions for me.
Thanks in advance.

He looks like a cylon samurai to me.
For the skin, maybe Rakarth Flesh, diluted purple wash, then that Wytch skin color, an off-white.

Adding blue and green mid-tones goes a long way to making skin look very sickly. Experiment with a pale skin tone however you would normally paint it while adding the aforementioned colors into the mix!
This massivevoodoo article might provide some additional inspiration for purplish skin as well, check it out:

Thanks for the input guys. I'd almost forgotten I'd posted this.
That MassiveVoodo tutorial is great casual tea. Good starting point.
