I've finished this Lotr fortress in a couple of weeks, usable both for 1/72 and 28mm.

Great work! Love the battlements. It looks a bit scaled down from what we saw in the films, but eminently playable and usable on the gaming table. Be sure to show us some pics once you have a game with it!

Well, since i do not have a hangar like some, I designed it so it would wit inside two boxes.
It's also easier to carry around this way.

It's amazing how much the little bits of grass here and there can really make stonework shine!

Is that all foam core based carving? Did you plaster or gesso over the foam core, or is it just paint?

No plaster and gesso it was basecoated black then a general drybrush of medium grey followed by one of 50% medium grey/white in the corners and protruding zone.
