That trapped mammoth looks lovely, but it would have killed me to cut up a model like that...

Have you figured out a use for the back half?

Thank you Neotacha.

I m' sacrificing that mammoth because his price is very cheap less than 1€. and i have 3 in good condition (meaning with 4 legs).  ;)

By now, as the mammoth don't react to danger as an ostrich (head in the sand), i don't know what to do with back half. really ?

Cheers
Eric

Do one falling in head first, that's probably how it'd happen, anyway!

 ;)

Perhaps build a diorama/marker/camp scene with the carcass in decay (surrounded by predators/scavengers) or being dismembered by humans?
Neat little project so far. Ice Age gaming is still on my list, and this is welcome inspiration. :)

Great stuff, Nervisfr! I saw these rules and though it might appeal to my kids.

Where does one start in acquiring a small collection of suitable figures in 28mm? Are the hunters sabretoothed tiger and Mammoth in your collection 28mm?

Bookworm, you only really need four hunters and a few beasts to get started. Lots of companies do 'cave men' lines these days. For 28mm (as Nervisfr uses) I suggest you have a look at Copplestone Castings, or the Lucid Eye: Savage Core range as a good starting point. If you like more comedic miniatures, Flytrap Factory do some characterful figures.

As nic says, you don't need too much miniatures.

For my cavemen i use some coppelstone, some ex Grenadiers and nude ancient figurines from Foundry's ancient German range and BTD range with some viking berserks too.
As soon as possible, i'll post more details about the figurines used for this project.

Cheers
Eric
