... I guess you realize that as I've posted more often on here than anything else. :D

AND I assure you that you're most welcomed here on the palaeo side of things than elsewhere!  ;)

Fantastic waterfall.  :-* :-*   I love the way you have done the actual water falling. Care to share how you achieved that effect?

I'm assuming with the glue gun shown but a quick guide would be good.

Thank you for your kind comments, guy.

As requested, i give you the process to get a simple waterfall.

Step 1 ; when you have painted the river and the waterfall tank, strip them with hot glue, giving them the shape of the stream and the water effet in the waterfall tank.

Step 2 ; cut a piece of plastic from a bottle as support of the waterfall. Strip it with the glue gun as falling water. Sevral layers can be necessary.

Step 3 ; glue the waterfall to the top (end of the river) and the bottom (tank). Add glue at the bottom for the water effect about falling water (swirly effect)

step 4 ; for details, i use a pyrographer to add more water effect and reduce the massit effect of the hot glue strips.

Step 5 ; white brush for the top of the swirls and the top and bottom of the waterfall.

Step 6 ; add some more varnish to give back the glossy effect of water (the white paint is matt) .

Step 7 ;  drink a beer to celebrate the final result. And show to friends !

More details, in my next blog's edition.

Enjoy
Eric

Vagabond, many centuries ago I've posted a "Jason and Circe Against the Perils of Minos Labyrinth" AAR on the Fantasy Forum... and the admin moved it to "Ancients" !!!  :o

After I replied with some irony and no politeness whatsoever, the entire thread mysteriously vanished!  lol lol lol lol lol

at least, we have played some games of PALEO DIET with my club's buddies...

Lots of fun but i have forgotten my camera  and my dice.
3 games in one evening !

1st game :
To test the rules with 5 players and myself as animal game master. None of them has read the rule but i have my french quick chart.
each player with one figurine. One of them get one dog to see how it's work.
They has to hunt only grazers and there was a hyena.....who kills 2 hunters at the end of the game (wounded earlier in the game by wild pigs).
At the start of the game, the players wera disappointed by the animals reaction. They were too fast to come into the detection area of the animals. Which one were prompt to flee in an another direction.

2nd game :
Overconfident about they hunt skill, the players ask to hunt a biger think...like a sabertooth !
They change their mind after the hyena episode and were more cautious trying to make the big cat fleeing toward a friend to start the kill. It's better to see a friend killed than yourself !
Finally, the big cat was easier to kill than the hyena as the clan hunters were more cooperative between them than in the game 1.

3nd game :
the big one : One lonely mammoth versus the clan .
After some hesitation, the hunter start to surround the beast and kill it after some good shots at and risky business during the approch.
we found the mammoth very placid if not in danger.

We'll try it again (with a camera) . May be with some home rules for a future demo game.
we have some questions for Nics about the rules system chosen for PALAEO DIET.  ;)

Eric

As it's about the rules, may be it's better to do it via PM or ganesha group ?

Eric I would be interested to hear your questions and Nic's answers, if you don't want to do it on your thread here, what about a new one just about the rules. I know that there are quite a few people who are playing or going to play the rules so I'm sure there would be some interest.

Failing that if you do it via the Ganesha forum could you pm me a link?

The games you had sound fun. I like the idea of . It's better to see a friend killed than yourself ! Wargamers are the same the world over, it brings out the worst in people. lol lol

Don't forget the camera next time, looking forward to the pictures.
