Slightly off-piste - I have been playing about with the scale/gauge combination of 1:27.7 (or 11mm = 1 foot) and 16.5mm PECO 'crazy track'. The results can be found on my Blog at;
http://dampfpanzerwagon.blogspot.co.uk/search/label/Narrow%20Gauge

However, following comments on my Blog. I have had six 1:27.7 scale figures cast in resin and will be making them available for sale very soon. see this post for details;
http://dampfpanzerwagon.blogspot.co.uk/2017/09/an-industrail-narrow-gauge-adventure.html

Should you be interested in joining me in this adventure you can find more details on the Blog.

Thank you.

Earlier today, I posted details of the third resin set - a group of five items of 'clutter'. Like the earlier figures/character, these items have been cast in resin by Rob Alderman of Hysterical Games and will be available to buy very soon.

For more details of this and my Industrial Narrow Gauge Adventure see this Blog entry;

Tony, this is absolutely great stuff!
I immediately recognized the Feldbahn engine as a Motorenfabrik Oberursel make. I was raised and lived for 20 years in that town, learned my profession in the halls of that company and still dream of replicating the railway station in H0 scale... Thank you for awakening sweet memories!
The new sculpts are excellent, although that is a scale you'd hardly find buyers/modelers for in continental Europe, I think. If it is of interest to you to find some, try to post your stuff over there:

It's in German, but I'd be happy to help with translation.  :)

Thank you Michi, I glad you like it (so far).

I notice that the railway modelling site is a members only site, so will have a think about joining and posting. However I think I might just take a stab at it.

They're mainly "G" scale in 1/22,5 (gauges II, IIm, IIe und IIf), but also all other big scales from 1/1 to 1/32.
"Anlagenbau" sub-forum is most interesting for you, I think. When I followed this thread I felt like a clumsy schoolboy: http://www.buntbahn.de/modellbau/viewtopic.php?t=11448&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

BTW: There is a museum near my home where you find exclusively the relatively rare 1/2 metre gauge industrial railway prototypes on display/in action (open to the public only twice a year): http://www.feldbahn500.de/gelaende_frameset.htm

Once again thank you for the links.

The 500mm museum images look very interesting.

Slightly off-piste - I have been playing about with the scale/gauge combination of 1:27.7 (or 11mm = 1 foot) ....

those are great looking figures. I hope you develop a following for them in additional poses. there's a bunch of figure makers on this forum: http://www.7-8ths.info/index.php?action=community  (scroll way down) and a substantial number of the membership has different gauge interests other than 7/8ths. most of the smaller gauges are what brought them to the larger scale.

another, although not strictly railroads, forum of great craftsmen is the Westlake forum:  http://www.finescalerr.com/smf/     you pretty much need to know a secret handshake and password to get in, but there's some great builders and your work will be appreciated.

ps: I think I got your posts confused, but I know you'll figure it out!

if you can figure out French: http://forum.e-train.fr/viewforum.php?f=4

Of course I will help. I am not registered there and was only browsing yet, but I think I could help you to get through the process.  :)

This looks beautiful.

A shelf layout is a brief stretch of line and not a complete circuit, am I right?
I'm thinking of building one of these (at the usual HO scale, however) so I'll be subscribing to this.  8) 8) 8)

Correct - it can also be called a micro layout.

I look forward to seeing your layout.

Thanks - I'm learning from yours before starting!
But I do confess to having a plan at least. I'm starting to wish I hadn't seen your canal ideas however, as that got me wondering about adding one :D
