That's My USAid! - Wars of Insurgency AAR

Chaos in the Congo in the 1960s -- my setup for my Wars of Insurgency game

I ran my modern skirmish rules, Wars of Insurgency, three times at Advance the Colors last weekend. The players had a blast, and it was full every time. In the scenario, a UN freighter brings in a load of medicine and food as the country devolves into chaos. Four factions want to seize the shipment for their own, while the United Nations peacekeepers fight an uphill battle to hold onto the supplies and drive off the attackers. Alliances were formed (and broken), and there was plenty of hooting and hollering as machine guns rattled and players angled to be possession at game's end.

Players plot to backstab their rivals and be in possession of a shipment of supplies from the West

Check out my blog post with more photos and details, along with bonus photos of other excellent looking games at the convention:

Thank you! Here's more info about Wars of Insurgency on the First Command Wargames page:
http://www.firstcommandwargames.com/wars-of-insurgency.html

Other than what is covered there, players control 3-5 squads that range in size from one vehicle or 3 infantry figures up to a dozen. So, a small faction of Professional troops might be as few as 15 figures or so. Larger, Militia forces could be all the way up to maybe 50 figures. Man-to-man scale. Combat is quick and easy to resolve (as are all the mechanics, really). Includes campaign rules, faction types, and more.

Feel free to ask any questions -- I'm happy to answer. And because I love to post photos of miniatures, here's another one, for the heck of it. One of my Lead Painters League entries using my 20mm Liberation Miniatures figures.
