« on: September 20, 2017, 10:09:45 PM »
I just noticed that Crusader are advertising a new Polish range!
But no pictures of figures, grrrr

Has anybody got any pictures available please?
Or indeed any information on this new range....

Tim, Nick on Facebook said they would provide photos very soon, although you could order sight unseen. Positive news for collectors/gamers.
Best wishes,
Helen

Now this is exciting news! With the BTD ones out of production, Voldemort has been the only game in town, save for the Gorgon Studios 10th Motorized Cavalry and to be honest I'm not fond of the Steve Salah sculpts in that one.

Will have to hold off on purchasing Poles until these come out.

They are available to purchase, although as mentioned no photos as yet. Nick did say they looked very nice if that helps at all.

Well let's be honest, Nick isn't going to say they look naff is he!  lol

But Crusader miniatures are one of my favourites especially the WWII stuff, so I'm sure they will be great.
However I'd like to know how far they intend to take the range before I invest....

Thanks for the replies guys, please keep this thread posted if you get any more info etc.

Personally, I'm curious as to what is in the command pack. Unlike the relevant German ranges, there seems to be no separate pack for the 46mm mortar or the anti-tank rifle. A Polish platoon is a big investment. You need around 65 figures for a full strength platoon.

A proverbial Catch 22;

Wargamer: "I didn't buy them because I didn't know if it would develop into a full range".

Vendor: "We didn't carry the range on because the initial releases didn't sell very well".

Well, just going by Crusader's other ranges, we can assume he will do the platoon level mortars and anti tank weapons, and the battalion level mortars and MMGs, if applicable. I wouldn't be surprised to see Polish Cavalry. I don't think we are going to be disappointed chaps

That would be my guess as well, based on the other WW2 ranges.

Still no love for Danes or Hungarians. Danes would be fun. You could have a game that lasts longer than the entire war. Maybe a beat the clock scenario?

I think so too. I think it would be the first Crusader range that wasn't pretty complete if that wasn't the case. I would also suspect that you might get the more unusual units (10th Motorised et al) too in time. It took a while for the French Motorcyclists and motorised infantry to show up, yet they did (a few more French Cavalry would be welcome though all the same).

Still no pics of the French motorcycle crews that he says are now available. Although I must say the MC troops are lovely. I was just making a support section of them but they may become a platoon and I have 4 of the bikes with sidecars. He told me a solo bike is a possibility in the very near future. :)

Very nice! I supect more are coming as there's no 46mm mortar or anti-tank rifle.
