Jet Bikes
« on: September 21, 2017, 03:24:32 AM »
I've been putting together a collection of jet bikes to play a futuristic version of Fautus Furius (FF3K). I'm actually running a game of it at a local convention in just one ra week. Most of these were put together with bits from Ramshackle Games Jet Bike Construction Kit Kickstarter.

Here are the bikes so far:

I have piles more to assemble, hopefully I'll get at least two more done before the convention next week!

Fantastic stuff!

I so very nearly got in on the Kickstarter for these and now I see yours I regret not going through with.
But then so many games so little time.

As above.
Love the use of the old hasslefree heads there.

thanks guys!

I finished up one more jet bike earlier this week:

and I spent some time hand painting some custom activation cards for the lot of them:

The convention starts this evening and my jet bike racing game is tomorrow. I'll post some pictures of the event some time after that.

These are great. I feel like I want to do something similar, now.

GREAT bikes, CONGRATULATIONS!  :-*

Aeons ago I've converted a bunch of jet bikes from several sources and used them in a multiplayer game with 12 players and some "Jet Bike House Rules" (inspired by the WD JB Racing Rules article), it was a blast!  :D

What a brilliant collection of jet-bikes.  I like #13 the best, with the 'Herbie' homage a close second.

Thanks again!

Here are a few pictures of the game:

the six participants and the table - they had to do two laps of the course - starting in the town and looping out around the three hills.

Nearing the end of the first lap - #53 pulling ahead a bit and after a few of the others crashed in the town he turned that into a pretty commanding lead for most of the second lap - but the final race to the finish line was a bit of a nail-biter.

I've posted a general report of the convention on my blog:

http://saskminigamer.blogspot.ca/2017/10/tims-tooncon-2017-report.html

I'll post a second report just about the jet bike race with loads more pictures at some point - hopefully later today.
