Sam Mustafa's 'Aurelian' rules cover this period, and also use 'one base' units like Impetus, so you could use those rules if you wished. They include a nice campaign system.

Strange coincidence, I used that illustration from Concord Publications in my research when sculpting these, both for the legionaries and later at Aventine for the Parthian horse archer. Lovely concept and paint job BTW. Makes the slog worth while. Adam

Absolutely stunning! I really, really like them :-*!

And I concur that the customer service from both Aventine and A&A is outstanding.

I really like the insides of the shields and it reminds me to be a bit tidier when paint mine. Mine are a bit sloppier, to be honest, so that part of the painting stuck out for me. Thanks for the inspiration.
