10mm Normandy style Bocage Roads from Take Cover Scenics
« on: October 13, 2017, 04:45:52 PM »
Hi folks,

as some of you may know, one of the product lines that I produce is 20-28mm Normandy-style Bocage roads.  These are flexible roads with wheel ruts, tank tracks, etc and also have some seriously big hedgerows attached to the edges.

Anyway -  customer who plays in 10mm contacted me a couple of months ago with a view to me building him some of these roads in 10mm scale.  After a few emails back and forth, we agreed prices and some specifications for the hedge width and height, and an average useable road width.  A few weeks later, his commission was completed.  To say he's happy would be an understatement!  :)

Anyway, I've attached a few photos with a couple of 10mm German tanks, and also with some 15mm British.  I reckon the roads do a great job of replicating those big Normandy hedgerows in 10mm, but they also make nice narrow lanes and trackways with smaller hedges in 15mm.

See what you think...

thanks for looking,

Can you give us some details of pricing please? Not on your website yet as far as I could tell, or did my old eyes miss it?

Hi Sir Rodney - no your old eyes didn't miss it!  Not on the website yet - bit remiss of me.

I need to get this new range uploaded onto the site over the weekend.  However, as a rough guide, if you look at the prices of the 20-28mm range and subtract 10% you'll be more or less spot on.  As an example, a 12" long section with texture, wheel ruts, (optional) tank tracks, tons of ground cover and attached hedgerows in 10mm comes in at £11.25.

cheers

John

Nice job, the sort of thing that can really give a table the wow factor.

Thanks Normsmith - good of you to say so!

I know I'm biased, but I always think a good looking table adds to the gaming experience...

cheers,

John
