Epic struggle in the Sudan
« on: April 07, 2009, 07:35:25 AM »

General view of last night's game

A resounding triumph for the Barmy Bhykli and his forces. Only my second win as the Mahdists!

More shots in the Sudan War album of my Photo Gallery, images 115 - 124.

Great looking game. Nice figures and table mat.

Not a good day for the Brits.  :?  :D

What rules are you using?

Great pics and a good looking game.

It must be a good week for the Mahdists.

A few nights back we played a reverse scenario with the Brits in the attacking role on a Mahdist riverside town and they were roundly cut to pieces. It is the first and only decisive victory I've seen with them. The Brits needed to play with caution and pick as many off as possible with ranged fire or goad them into charging out, but that would have taken too long for our short game so they rushed in...to their doom. Mind you, a lucky short from the Mahdist Krupp disabled the boiler in the riverboat holding the British naval brigade and most of their artillery.!Goes to show that TSATF is more fair and balanced then I thought at first.

I have written my own set which may be available as a PDF later in the year. Glad you liked the game.

The table is perfect. Nothing too flash but looks the mutts and more importantly like a proper game and not a diorama.
