Knights of Dice Kraken Petroleum

I began work on this kit this year:




I cannot glue it down to a placemat base as usual, it's too big. I don't know whether to glue it down to the module here directly. While still deciding, I started painting:


I should paint before assembly. But, some joins may still foul up and many other problems are likely...

I've toyed with picking this kit up myself but I thought that the clearance under the canopy might be a little low.

Looking good. IMO I'd glue it to a custom cut 3mm MDF base. (And yes, they really are nice kits!)
