Thanks T D Dragon!
I have several of the old Ral Partha Orcs/Hobgolbins (or whatever they are called now) from late 70ties, early 80ties. I still like them a lot!

And I must place a last order at Thunderbolt Mtn, as soon as the next paycheck arrives. I'm just back from Crisis in Antwerp, and that costed me a an arm and a leg...

Cheers Wim. I saw a few Facebooks posts about Crisis and I think I'll be making the trek next year.....

Thanks to the OP for posting this and also to The Dozing Dragon for a very informative blog post. Fascinating the range of things some people turn their hands to!

I still have the old RP elves I bought in the early 80s - such a wondrous contrast with almost everything else around then. The elves on the Thunderbolt site are quite remarkable - may have to see if I can somehow get some onto a Christmas list....

I got the impression although Thunderbolt Mountain was started by Tom Meier, he is so busy as a freelance sculptor, TM is run by others.

I have bought bits off them over the years. The elves and goblins figures are amazing. I just found it frustrating some of his ranges never went anywhere. For example his Byzantines. Three different types of spear men, but that’s it. No command or anything else and the figures aren’t compatible with other manufacturers.

When sculpting for TM his interests seem to flit about like a butterfly. So unlike most war-gamers who remain so resolutely focused on one period/project seeing it to its completion before moving on to the next! lol

I love the goblins they do, just wish getting them to the uk wasn't so damned expensive
