We held our very first Lardie Day (for aficionados of TooFATLardies miniature games) at Fall-In this November 3-5. This wargaming convention was held in Lancaster Pennsylvania. Numerous TFL participation games were hosted on Friday and Saturday including Sharp Practice (in a variety of periods - AWI, ACW, Napoleonic), Chain of Command, I Ain't Been Shot Mum and General D'Armee.
We were located in the Tournament Area and had multiple tables of gaming going at any one time. Participants seemed to have a good time discussing and playing games from the world of TooFATLardies. We also had a lot of folks stopping by to admire the games and ask questions about the rules. Players from a wide geographic area made the pilgrimage to Lancaster to run and/or play in TFL games. Fifteen games were on the schedule for the two day Lardie event.
We hope to do this again at future HMGS Conventions and already have ideas for improvements to the process.
