Griffin warrior - Mycenaean Warrior inspirational material
« on: November 11, 2017, 06:16:37 PM »
Very interesting drawing that is depicting the thump size seal stone excavated from the tomb of the Griffin Warrior near Pylos southern Greece. The Mycenaean era  warrior's tomb is including a lot of interesting artifacts including his sword and a number of highly detailed seal stones. The more interesting seal stone is the one on the drawing that displays a battle scene, I would say that it is pure inspirational material for wargamers, sculptors and hobbyists because of the accurate reproduction of Helmets, swords and shields of the Mycenaeans / Minoans. Scholars suggest that the battle scene is from the Trojan war but there is still a debate about it .
